My nightmare story with the TV provider

The main reason for killing my TV cable was the atrocious customer service from a satellite company that I have chosen to not disclose anymore. I was actually in the process of upgrading my equipment and as usual the customer service was terrible. I wanted to add two more TVs, with these I would be on the top of the world, with a TV in every room. I also wanted to add HD and don't forget DVR so that I could record everything all the time. Well I ended up doing the complete opposite. Instead, I canceled the whole thing and started selling my TVs on Craigslist.

This experience was the most liberating one in a long time. They offered me tons of reasons and freebies to stay. In fact if your goal is to get a break on your TV costs for a few months, just call your TV provider and tell them you are canceling, you should be able to get a few free months and a couple of additional programing.
